I hope Margo reflects on what Thompson has done.
He took it upon himself to confirm the safety of the spiders based off a comment once mentioned to him. Despite having been bitten, he didn’t automatically assume the spider would attack and took immediate steps to obtain help, putting the value of life above his own rift with Margo. He showed care and resourcefulness in bandaging the spider proactively. Most importantly, he carried Deni and kept running even through the paralytic effects of Deni’s venom. Margo may see him as naive, but she was very quick to revert to her own biases regarding another human’s treatment of monsters.
Perhaps she’ll reevaluate her own perspective in recognizing Thompson’s growth.
