We went up to Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts yesterday, spent a while poking around the muppets (including some from Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal,) and saw a very funny Punch and Judy performance. Then we ate a bunch of Korean spicy tofu soup. I guess it was a field trip of the Creaky Theater Company, a puppetry troupe that Eleanor and some of her friends started a few months back (they’ve only had one performance so far, but it was pretty awesome).
Also, congratulations to Eleanor, who got the Russ Manning “promising newcomer” award at the Eisners this week! I don’t know what she promised, but I hope she’s not in over her head.

Here’s a Set to Sea panel, for all you folks who aren’t in San Diego.
I’m working on an record cover! Actual 12′ vinyl and everything.

All I’ve been doing is inking Set to Sea panels and drinking iced coffee! Elo recently got a job as produce manager at the local hippie co-op; we’ve been reaping the spoils, by which I mean slightly spoiled vegetables.

Here are some cute photos of Eleanor from our Chicago trip! We must have tromped across half of downtown Chicago. It seemed like a city that was very comfortable in itself. We had deep dish pizza with our cartoonist pal Doug Frey and his wife, Kim.
Been trying to figure out John Updike recently. We’ll see.
