Some new Margo art, a new way to buy it, and a patron-only discount.

Along with doing some real-life dirty-fingers painting, I’ve also been messing around with digital painting in Procreate. I was pretty pleased with this one (you might recognize Ke-ke from The Tangled Web) and I wanted to do something with it. So, I finally went and applied for an Inprnt store. Inprnt’s one of the better-known online art print shops, known for good quality prints and curation. Eleanor and I used to make our own prints at home and ship them ourselves, but the time just isn’t there anymore! So the new piece, entitled “Coming in for a Landing,” is up now to buy. I also put up a couple other pieces up there, like this classic image of Margo’s office, and the title art from the newest chapter, The Zombie Manor. Oh, and if there’s a Margo image (or any other art by me!) that you’d love to get as a print, let me know in the comments! At long last, Margo Maloo is back on the job – starting this Monday, August 4th, in a brand new adventure, The Zombie Manor! A new page drops every Monday.
Thanks for waiting patiently – I’ve gotten many messages from readers about whether Margo’s story would continue! Sadly, the future of the print books is up in the air, as it looks like I’ll be parting ways with First Second for the remainder of the series. Nonetheless, Margo’s story will continue online (and, with any luck, at another publisher.) For now, Margo is back to her roots as an independent creation. One good aspect of that is I no longer need to keep large chunks of the previous Margo storylines book-exclusive – the entire story will go back to being readable on this site.

Howdy, if you’re in the neighborhood of Bethesda or DC, the Small Press Expo is happening this weekend! (9/14-9/15) I’ll be there for the first time in five years, and I’ll have a boatload of Margo books, and the original art from vol 3, The Tangled Web, on sale for the first time. I’ll even have some in-progress art from the upcoming book. Table W67, stop on by!
Heroes Con 2024

I’ll be at Heroes Con’s Indie Island this year! It’s been so long since I’ve done a show like this, back in the pre-pandemic era. I’ll be at table ii-1116, in between Joey Weiser and Mike Maihack. I’ll have all the Margo books, original art, and I might even bring some as-yet-unseen art from the next book. Come on by if you’re in the area!
