• What is Little House Comics? Who are you guys?

Little House Comics is the joint venture of Eleanor Davis and Drew Weing. We are a super-powered cartoonist couple who currently live in Athens, Georgia. Some of the items for sale are by Drew, some are by Eleanor, and some are by both! Eleanor can be reached at eleanor (at) doing-fine.com, Drew can be reached at weing.drew (at) gmail.com.

• I don’t have/want to use Paypal. Can I order things some other way?

We also take checks and money orders. Just email us about the items you want, and we’ll write you back with an address.

•How long will it take for my order to arrive? I need my order to get here FAST!

Within the U.S. – We usually use First Class for prints and artwork (2-3 days, usually,) and Media Mail for minicomics and books (which can take a week or two).
Outside of the U.S. – We usually go with International First Class, which is can vary a lot: only a couple days for some countries (Canada) and weeks and weeks for others (Italy).

We try to get orders packed and in the mail within a week of ordering, but it’s only a 2-person operation here, so we’re often late. If you need your order fast, email us at shop (at) drewweing dot com and we’ll see what we can do. Please be aware that postage can get pretty expensive for fast orders – especially overseas!

•How much am I going to get charged for shipping?

Shipping is based on a percentage of your total order, on a sliding scale.
U.S.,  Canada, & Mexico –

Under $10 = 25%
$10 – $30 = 20%
$30 – $60 = 15%
$60 – $100 = 10%
$100 up = 7.5%

So if you order $12 worth of books, your shipping would be $2.40 – $50 worth of books would be $7.50, etc. This is calculated automatically by Paypal and added on when you check out.

International –

Under $10 = 50%
$10 – $30 = 40%
$30 – $60 = 30%
$60 – $100 = 20%
$100 up = 15%

Paypal can act a little screwy sometimes, so if you see a shipping charge that doesn’t match up with the above, please let us know at shop (at) drewweing dot com!

• I got a package but it only had part of my order!

We sometimes divide up large orders between a couple different packages, so it can get to you faster and in better shape. We try to write the number of packages you should expect in the upper left corner (by the return address.)

• My package got totally destroyed in the mail!

All our orders are packed securely with stiff cardboard mailers, heavy mailing tubes or padded envelopes. But sometimes an irate postal worker or malevolent mail-processing machine will decide to shred a package, and nothing can stop it! If some of your books or posters got damaged, please let us know at shop (at) drewweing dot com and we’ll try to make it right.

• How do you make your stuff?

Most of the things for sale at Little House Comics were made by hand. All of the prints, posters and a few of the minicomics covers are silkscreened right here at our house. The minicomics “guts” are copied up at a local copy shop. Then it’s all stapled together with a saddle-stitch staplers. All of the items in the “Books” section were printed by professional-type publishers, however. Here is a very handy reference guide to making all sorts of different comic books yourself!
