Contest!
I thought it would be
cool to run a contest! So, taking a cue from
Kung Fool's
frequent contests, I'm announcing The First
Annual Journal Comic Coloring Contest!
Deadline is May 1st! All entries will be judged by me. The prize: All
three of my (printed) comics, and a piece of original art! Oh yeah,
you know you can't resist that! I'll post up all of the entries for the whole
world to admire, too! Here's the small print -
1. I'll be judging the entries based on creativity, talent, funnines, and a complicated system of aesthetic judgement - okay, there's no real system. Just do your best. 2.No family or personal friends - Hey, you've probably got the comics already. 3. No big webcomics professionals - I'll be judging whether you're a professional based on a complicated system of - ah, screw it. You know who you are, I guess. Email me if you've got a question. But you're welcome to send in a pic just for the hell of it! Either email the picture to me, post it up on your own website, or post it up at the Failure message boards ! Here's the picture! It's my roommate Antar, and what he thinks of his frequent appearances in the Journal Comic! Oh well... It's not like I have a social life or something to write about. Here's what Antar looks like in 'real life' if you want to ground your coloring in reality. (Yeah, that's me next to him. I'm the one on the left. On the right is Jerry Stanford, of Carpal Tunnel Press .) Simply copy or download the pic, use the program of choice to color it - or hey, print it out and use paint or crayons or something! Also, you could also email Antar and make fun of him if you want. |
