Cartoony Stuff
The "Monkey vs. Robot" theme is very popular in cartoon art, it seems. This was done for a "Comics Covers" class I took with the mighty Durwin Talon. It's ink on bristol, with computer coloring. Continuing with the robot theme, this was done for an advertisement for a cartooning class I was teaching at Michael's Arts and Crafts. It was done with the specific intent of attracting kids weaned on Cartoon Network shows. It worked okay, I guess. I never got paid for the damn class though. Oh well. Ink on bristol, computer coloring. This was also done for a my "Covers" class. It's Dave Dorman's "Iguana" character... I think these were supposed to be used to illustrate an online serialized story or something - I guess. Who knows? Ink, bristol, computer coloring.
Fantasy Art
This was done for a promotional-type postcard. I still have dozens of postcards lying around. If you're nice, when you order something from me, I might stick one in the package. Pencil on bristol, computer collage and coloring.
Architectural Rendering
A building at Virginia Military Institute, in my hometown of Lexington. It was used for the cover of VMI's Summer School catalog.
My dad commisioned the drawing. Ink wash on bristol.
