Set to Sea something something

The story so far...

More sausage-making here with Set to Sea - this is part of a small sequence going a little bit after the last couple panels. I'll get this all integrated into the whole soon. It's just a real pain in the butt to renumber all the panels.

Did I mention that somebody kicked the passenger side mirror off of my car while it was parked in front of the house the other day? Well, they did.

Comments:

Drew would you mind at some point showing a stage-by-stage progression of one of your panels and how you approach your work? Your style is absolutely fascinating. Who are your influences?

Hmm... maybe! As for influences, I'm not even sure anymore! Elsie Segar, Dave Sim, Gerhard Sammy Harkham, Billy DeBeck, Jeff Smith, Kevin Huizenga, and R. Crumb are mixing around in there maybe. But mostly it's just lines, shapes, and patterns that look good to me when they come out of the pen.
