Running low

Well, I'm almost out of books. So if you haven't received yours yet, there'll be a slight delay while the second batch gets in from the printer. I still have a couple tucked aside, so if you need your book immediately (for Christmas reasons, etc.) let me know and I'll send it your way. First come, first serve. Sorry about this folks, I underestimated demand. Please don't worry, if you ordered a book, you WILL get it.

Aw dang it all

So out of nowhere on Saturday, my computer went down, and wouldn't start back up. I took it in to the local Mac repair shop, and they tell me that the whole hard drive is toast.

On the plus side, I do completely back up my data on occasion.
On the minus side, the last time I did it was over a month ago.

I'm fairly certain that I haven't done anything in the last month or so that wouldn't be fairly easy to redo. I hope. All of the book orders should be archived over at Paypal's site. But if you emailed me about anything important in the last month, shoot it over to me again, cause it's gone.

On the plus side, my new hard drive is 20 gigs bigger than the last one.

A tiny little man rolling an enormous ball

About 20 book packages have gone out so far, so if you ordered your book in the first couple days it went on sale, you'll probably be getting it in a week or two. More books are going in the mail soon.

On an unrelated note, I got to play a bit of "Katamari Damacy" at a friend's house the other day. Have you heard of this? It's a PS2 game that mainly involves rolling around a giant sticky ball that picks up everything in it's path. You start by picking up tiny things like thumb tacks and candy, and progress to picking up mice, books, mailboxes, people, cars, trees, buildings, etc. It's amazingly fun, and chock-full of wacky Japanese non-sequitur goodness.
