Party pin poll
I’m making up some pins for the Set to Sea release party! I’m going to have a free pin for every book purchase, plus probably sell them in little multi-packs for those interested. I did up these little watercolor sketches, and I’ve got a few favorites, but I figured I’d throw it open to a vote! These would be fancy little 1-inch pins with metallic gold and the works. And all of these designs are totally un-final – I’ll be tweaking the color schemes, etc. So just concentrate on the design – which of these do you like best?
Personally, I’m digging the designs that aren’t a straightforward shot of the characters… [R] is a clever use of the limited amount of button space, [S] because it simply establishes the character’s bookishness (I think it would be funny to have a companion button… his point of view while reading the book). [G]-[I] all look like great pirate themed tattoos.
Overall, I am like these designs and the limited palette you’re using. I’m sure designing for such a small space can be frustrating. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished book once it’s out.
